My garage is partially finished. The ceiling has complete drywall but the sides are halfway done. I want to install insulation, drywall the rest, and add a door. Where can i buy a preframed door? I did some volunteer work with Habbitat of Humanity and noticed they had bought doors with the frame and seals already put together.

Im guessing I want to install the door on the wall that isnt drywalled yet?

I'd get the door at Habitat. If not there Lowes or Home Depot will have what you need.

Don't let drywall dictate where you place the door. That stuff is easy to cut and patch. Put the door where it will fit the best and look the best on your home.

I assumed it wouldn't be a garage if it didn't already have a garage door.
I hope I'm right.

You can go with a fairly cheap door since it won't need to be insulated. Just go for something heavy enough that you can't kick it in too easily.

found door at Lowes for $140. Lowes guy said I would need a door header since it is an exterior wall and the header can be made by some 8 2x4s. how much would a contractor charge for something like this?
