that's the bottom of a mouse and you need to switch it on....but if you're on laptop then i guess it's not recognizing the trackpad? uh oh

After researching your issue, I have found that this display refers to the following recommendation:Purchase a PC... profit.

yeah no kidding. so i just ended up rebooting and re-trying the install, and after like my 4th try it went through. updated some drivers, installed a bootloader, so far its running pretty good and incredibly fast, thanks to the i7 and GTS 360M. now trying to get the laptop-specific crap (function key actions, sleep/hibernation, wifi) working. fun stuff.

just for personal reference, how i set up dual-boot:install OSX 10.6.3 on HD using boot disc + SL dvdCreate second partition in OSX Disk Utility as type FATBoot to Windows7 install dvd and format & install to partition (OSX no longer bootable)Boot OSX via boot disc and install Chameleon boot loaderBoot Win7 via boot disc and run 'diskpart' as administrator> list disk> select disk 0> list partition> select partition 1 (where chameleon gets installed by osx)> activemay have to boot back into OSX via boot disc and reinstall Chameleon bootloader

ohhh so you're dual booting. i only run osx on mine. the 32gb ssd wouldn't play well w/ 2 OSs anyway.
