Trying to get hired should...but in quitting, you have all the leverage.

Either he sweetens your package to entice you to stay, or he says 'peace' and you both move on with your lives.

from what i understand about here, if you give a 2 weeks notice, you'll basically be escorted out right then.

I was like ten times as productive as anyone else in my entire office at my last job while posting on here daily. My boss KNEW I did too. I also watched baseball in the background if there were day games.

quitting is no big deal. i've quit two jobs and both times they asked me to stay on long enough to either help find a new replacement or finish up a project. although my current job would probably be like "cool, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out".
