Looking for (realistic) ideas and suggestions to make a garage great. Floor coatings, wall colors, tool chests, equipment etc.

Maybe post some pictures of personal garages or favorites.

Thanks bros!

my personal garage plan involves mostly piling as much shit, tools, and parts as you can possibly fit into the given space. I find this creates a nice ambiance. bonus points if you have to change to small tires just to fit your car in your piece of shit garage.

oh damn that lift comes with its own motor??? I thought you'd need an industrial grade air compressor to push it

interesting...

You can get a 2-post lift for half that price.

...and someday, I plan to have one. right now, i move around WAY too much.

does anyone have a grey or black epoxy floor or experience with it? it seems like it could be hard to find things you drop on it but maybe i'm wrong.

^^^^Fuck that mirrored white floor clean-room nonsense. Flat concrete, plenty of storage space and climate control are a dream come true.

I've always wanted dedicated work bays with plastic sheeting around them to keep dust from your project covering all the tools. Bigass sinks and parts cleaners are a must as well. Lots of work bench square footage, with clean soft and metal work surfaces cleared off and ready to go. Ah, one day.

yeah if you're gonna have a garage like that you, you definitely won't be doing any work in there. It's like a living room for high-end cars...which I have some appreciation for, but only if I had a shop out back with what you're talking about, plus a lift and a huge air compressor with lines routed all the way around the shop.

it's totally feasible...it's just not practical if you want to be able to use it as, well, a normal garage. you either have to give that up, or have a detached workshop.

shit, I'd just build a sweet 4-car garage/workshop (or 2-3 car, with a carport attached), with a lofted apartment up top to live in. The only thing holding me back is that I'd have a tough time reselling it, and my involvement with women would pretty much be limited to bar sluts.

Done, except for epoxy on floor and lift. Just got the air compressor mounted and running, just have a few leaks to sort out at the regulator/water separator.

Not a loft, just lots and lots of storage.

Mio dio, so much space. Love those walk-through trusses. You'll regret not having indoor stairs though..

LOL there was a big debate about that.... no way to effectively do full indoor stairs without ruining a garage bay, and 13 foot pull down stairs were not really an option.

The outdoor stairs dont look bad, and hopefully we wolnt be having to go up and down often. It will be mostly long term storage for restoration parts and other junk we shouldnt keep but do..
