let me show you them.
Went there recently, got a few pics mainly from UVA's campus, the Monticello, and open downtown mall area.

Was looking to do one last out of town weekend before classes started that wouldn't take much planning or going far, and I'd never been there before, so I figured, why not?8/19/2010 4:23:14 PM |

Given that all institutions of higher learning are legally required to foster and support a substantial squirrel population, I thought it an appropriate photo to take. Found him, and several other squirrels, by this statue of Jefferson. UVA loves them some Jefferson. Must be nice to have a recognizable founder. Is there particular noteworthy founder for NCSU?
I think they may have been nomming on some of these:
More flowery pics (they replanted the gardens at the Monticello to be very in keeping with what Jefferson himself had planted & I got a few other random flowery pics around town).
Lewis & Clark:
Clark's big bro - George Rogers Clark aka Conqueror of the Old Northwest:
I liked how in many places you could randomly get shots of hills & mountains in the background:
Escafe was great. Will eat there again if I go back. Revolutionary Soup too.

The only picture I snapped in Charlottesville was of the Men and Boy's Shop on the mall.
Which coincidentally is modeled after Pearl Street in Boulder, CO. tmyk 8/20/2010 7:37:26 AM |

More from the Museum:
Outside of it, looking down the road:
Facing the north end of UVA's quad - "The Rotunda" building
UVA's music building - "Old Cabell Hall"
I saw a lot of the Zs & 7s around campus.
Random close up of the Monticello:
And now from far away:
DIED JULY 4 1826
I saw a lot of these trolley looking buses around town and campus:
