Fellure said they are still investigating the crash trying to determine the driver's speed and why he was passing cars on the berm."

I'm kinda curious as to what kind of police violations he got slapped with after this. Obviously he was speeding/driving recklessly and could have killed a number of people, but after going through that kind of trauma a policeman has gotta feel kinda douchy writing him a citation for something.

Why? Unlike with most speeding violations, he actually damaged stuff and endangered others.

ditto the not feeling douchy for giving him a ticket. The driver deserves any and all tickets/citations he can get.

Glad the bridge was built to withstand that kind of thing. And glad that guy didn't hit any other cars on his way out...

Supposedly someone changed lanes in to his path (per comments on the news article), forcing him off the road.....only problem is he was driving like an asshole at a high rate of speed and the person who cut him off probably could not have seen him coming that fast.
