Get that plantar wart removal stuff and wait for it to get all weakened and shit...then cut it out and make sure you get the root. It will be gross cause you'll have a hole in the bottom of your foot for a bit, but it will also look cool.

You'll know when you get the root when it hard core bleeds. I had one of my foot once, I have one on there now but I haven't gotten around to remove it. But anyway, I had one on my foot once and I did that same thing. Oh yeah, I cut at it first, got it down, then put the medicine on it. Took a week to let the medicine work, then I sat there with something and cut it out. When I got the root it would not stop bleeding for forever.

Anyway, I think it's the root that looks like the little black dot. Sometimes there are more than one, but get that shit out of there, and it shouldn't come back.

Also, you should probably stop stepping on toads, or stop hooking up with that chick that has hpv and a foot fetish.

^nah - skin is too thick down on the feet.

And when I had mine cut out at the doc's it was stupid deep. The size was probably about that of a kidney bean.

ahh I know the black thing you're talking about. Guess I'm gonna have to cut deeper into the nerves. What did you cut it out with? I need something small enough to fit in the hole, but sharp enough to cut.

I used a combo of toe nail clippers, cuticle cutters, that little nail file with a point that is connected to the toe nail clippers. Basically all those little sharp things I could find.

No idea on "plantar warts" specifically, but I can say that if you freeze it you need to use this:

and not this:

I had a 1.5 year battle with a wart on my hand which is why you'll see me wearing gloves in the gym these days.

I used the Dr. Scholl's stuff probably 10+ times. I think the instructions say to use it for 15-20 seconds. I would hit the wart 5 consecutive times in a star pattern for 45 seconds per hit every day for several days and it never killed the wart.

I finally grabbed the Compound W thing at the beach just because the wart had gotten really big again and I wanted to kill it down so it would be less noticeable. The first time I used it I could tell it did a much deeper freeze than the Dr. Scholls stuff. It did not work the first time I used it, but it did work after a few more tries. The winning combo ended up being a deep freeze every three days for two weeks. It really fucking hurt and a lot of flesh died, but at least it got rid of the wart.

The Compound W thing was very similar to what my doctor did when he treated it. He was super cocky and he commented that "after he freezes it it won't come back" or whatever. He froze my palm into a small block of ice and repeatedly asked if I was in pain. I kept telling him I was in a lot of pain, but I didn't really mind it. When he thought he was done I told him to freeze it some more. After that he refused to do it again. The damn wart still came back.

At least it's gone now and all I have is a small lump of scar tissue to prove it.

I'd recommend some combo of digging out the plantar wart followed by freeze treatments every 3 days for a week or two. It will hurt like a bitch, but you've got to kill the virus completely or it will just come back and put you in more pain. No reason to do it unless you're going to do it right. I suggest using this as an excuse to drink a lot of alcohol.

I kept cutting mine out near one of my toes when I was younger and that shit started to make me walk with a slight limp. My old man took me to some random podiatrist who local-anesthized it, cut it out, and gave me some antibiotics and some sort of sloughing cream used for skin cancer . Took less than 30 minutes from the time I went in the door to when I went out and healed up in a few weeks. One of my toes is still crooked from when I had to constantly lift it during my odd walking and I wish I had taken care of that little fucker sooner. I think the bill was less than $150.

I used to put duct tape on mine when i got them. It worked pretty well, but I lost a golf club because I couldn't grip and through it in a tree.

i had a plantar wart on my heel when i was like 6 or 7. i had it frozen off at the doctor. hurt like hell, but maybe that's because i was little. it worked though. i'd just bite the bullet and go to the doctor if i were you, especially since you've been dealing with it for almost a year. i've bitten a few warts off my hands and fingers over the years, but i wouldn't recommend doing something like what sawahash did out of fear of infection or something since plantar warts are in so deep.

and post pics if it looks like this

Compound W and Dr. Scholl's were worthless for my regular warts

I don't know about plantars though

when I was in Jr High I had the worst case of plantar warts the podiatrist had ever seen

I had 27 of them total on my feet and like 16 on one foot

the podiatrist cut them all out in one sitting and put phenol on them
I had to apply phenol to them every day for months

but they are gone now

I've been battling with the wart on my finger for a little bit
I'm shaving it down with a PedEgg and then freezing the shit out of it with an upside-down can of PC duster with some toilet paper on the tip - that seems to work pretty well

i had one on my big toe a long time ago. i cut it out as best i could, froze it, put the liquid wart remover stuff on and immediately followed w/ liquid bandage. when you put the 2 together it turns yellow and really hard. then i put duct tape over it and made sure it stayed for a couple of weeks. that bastard fell off after that combo, which took me like 2 years to discover.

Go to the fucking doctor. Yea, money, but it's so quick and easy when they do it, and I've seen people struggle for months with shitty home remedies, suffering through all that for noooooothing.

don't go to the student health center for it though. all they did was cause it to grow bigger after trying to freeze it twice.

btw, there's no such thing as a root for a wart. those dark specks are blood vessels.

True. I even had one person tell me the black specs were the virus itself. Although I do think plantar warts have something similar to a root ball (hence their name)...See the pic Tarpon posted above for reference.

Seriously though...Get the Compound W stuff to freeze it and hold it there for 2-4 rounds of 45 seconds. Repeat every three days for a week or two until you just can't do it anymore. Might as well get it over with now rather than repeating several times and increasing the amount of pain on each dose.

I had one about 4 years ago that I tried to get rid of with several methods. Ended up going to see a dermatologist. He was able to freeze it without much trouble. The thing he used to freeze it with almost felt like a needle stabbing the whole area. A few weeks later, it was gone.

There is always a risk of that happening, even if you go to a doctor. I mean obviously make sure you wash your foot and surrounding areas before and after, and then make sure you don't leave a big hole in the bottom of your foot uncovered. And don't walk in a public bathroom barefoot, or put your feet in the kitchen sink.

I had one when i was younger, i cut it out with an xact then poured bleach in the cut, banadged it up and went on with my life. Alot quicker than freezing, and i didnt want the frozen blister on my heel.

Yall need to quit messing around and just go see a dermatologist for this stuff. Getting burned/cut off is the best way to go and they almost never come back if done properly.

i had them the summer after i turned 16. i fell apart that summer, developed allergies, got pink eye, plantar warts, all sorts of good stuff. i was staying with my grandma and she goes to an old school country doctor and he told me to soak my feet in the hottest water i could stand every night before bed. i did and it worked. dont know if there is any science in it or if the virus or whatever ran its course but they went away after about 2-3 weeks of soaking.

Meh... it wasn't that interesting. Just a lot of digging with a pocket knife and nose hair clippers. Oh yea I used a thumb tack too lol. I bunch of skin and stuff basically crumbled out of the hole until i poked through the wart and into the blood vessels. Then it bled A LOT! It took 30 minutes for it to stop so I could clean it out and continue the excavation.

i had one on my foot. used these round patches.

it's just salicylic acid. eats through the skin. i would scrape away the dead/soft stuff with a pocket knife each day and put on a new patch. i think i had to do it for a couple weeks.

I went to my doctor and found that he didn't do anything I couldn't do at home. The $15 co-pay was nothing, but taking time out of my work schedule to make it happen was a chore. Maybe I should have gone to a dermatologist instead.

Go to a dermatologist and ask for squaric acid (not salicylic) treatment

I had a bunch (10-15) plantar warts but they all disappeared within a week of the second appointment with that stuff. The first appointment, they sensitize you to the squaric acid, then the second time it induces an allergic reaction near the warts.

Had these for about two years on and off in high school, the kill all was the doctor gave me a jar of high concentrate salycic acid that he used in the office. a week later it fell out and I had a big hole in my foot. It was amazing. never had them since.
