WWE extended their condolences via an acknowledgment on WWE.com. Vachon made her pro wrestling debut as part of Kevin Sullivan's "Army of Darkness" stable in Florida Championship Wrestling in 1985. She was a part of the Vachon family wrestling dynasty that included her father, WWE Hall of Famer Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon, her aunt, former AWA World Women's Champion Vivian Vachon, and her uncle, AWA World Tag Team Champion Paul "Butcher" Vachon. Luna gained prominence competing for World Wrestling Entertainment, vying for the Women's Championship and teaming with Bam Bam Bigelow at Wrestlemania X. She had been competing on the independent circuit since leaving WWE in early 2000."
