Shocking online video of girl throwing live puppies into river sparks anger, death threats

This video is only the latest bit of animal cruelty captured on tape to spark outrage online. A woman in England was similarly hunted down and targeted for throwing a cat into a trash bin. Mary Bale, who was caught earlier this month on video pushing a cat into a garbage can and closing the lid, similarly became the focus of angry online messages and death threats. She has since apologized for her actions. In 2008, a U.S. Marine in Iraq was also condemned after video was posted of him taking a small puppy and throwing it off a cliff. According to CNN, Lance Cpl. David Motari, based in Hawaii with the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, was later booted from the Corps. The Marine who filmed the incident, Sgt. Crismarvin Banez Encarnacion, was also disciplined. "

It was messed up that she videotaped this act, but I think drowning is a good way for a puppy to go. Better than some of the other methods that have been employed through the years..

Is there a better way to make them drown quickly? Hold them down personally with your hand? Put them all in a bag together? I'd figure that the simple impact from the throw will actually aid in a swift death.

For whatever reason, I'd have a hard time killing puppies that I'm in contact with. Holding them in water and feeling them squirm is something I wouldn't deal with. I'd opt for the ol' toss.

This. She's a terrible person, and should be prosecuted. But with human trafficking, child abuse, war and genocide all going on, it's kind of small potatoes.

If she truly is from Bosnia, I find it highly unlikely that she will catch hell in any significant way. The fact of the matter is that since the war, packs of feral dogs are everywhere in that country and many Bosnians would view killing them off as doing society a favor. Althought it is fucked up.

I'm actually quite fine if these random Internet people want to find someone who has done something like this. But when they resort to hate mail and stalking (whether online or in real life), I would also like for these people to be appropriately punished. The good that some of them do shouldn't outweigh the bad the other asshats do either or a possible punishment that the do as well. And while you may not have any sympathy for this woman over her harassing, it's important to keep in mind that they have absolutely no right to harass anyone.

I doubt the people who are harassing the women even care about the cat, but are more likely bored and need some reason to harass and destroy a person's life.

How about people who make a living killing animals for our consumption, or people who enjoy stalking and shoot unsuspecting animals for no other reason than their personal enjoyment? You seem to value an animal's life as much as a human's life, or are you just inconsistent with your beliefs?

I will agree that there should be a punishment for someone who needlessly takes pleasure in killing and torturing animals, but it is not up to a bunch of vigilantes who get their panties in a bunch to harass or hurt another person.
