Most people I know throw them away as well. I'm not going to do the internet codes either, seems like even more of a waste of time.

Also, all of these cards were for $1. I was at the Food Lion on Avent Ferry when someone came in to redeem a $2 card, and the employee said that was the highest one that they ever had.

In 1997 I was working in this marina that was also a Texaco gas station. Texaco was running some kind of promotion similar to this where we would hand you a scratch off card whenever you bought gas. Odds were pretty good...1 in 4 wins. The standard prize was either one or two dollars worth of free gas; I can't remember which. Gas was only about a dollar a gallon back then, so it wasn't a bad deal.

Anyway, I was bored at work one day and started scratching off tickets. Within a couple of scratches I had my first winner. Four scratches later I had my second. Four scratches after that, guess what; another winner!

So then I went through half the deck going "1,2,3,Winner,1,2,3,Winner,1,2,3,Winner" and pulling out the fourth card.

Lol. My girlfriend and I went to Food Lion last week and the cashier just handed us a stack of them. There were 52 total. We scratched them all and didn't win shit. We scratched the prize on all of them and every damn one was $1.

I tried the laser pointer and LED methods, but its still hard to accurately find the pattern. If they didn't put the dark "$" then it'd be a piece of cake . I might try some more in the coming days . I tried in dark rooms (aka the bathroom and the closet) with inconclusive results...although I didn't try the LED in the bathroom...hmmm
