have an x60 with an oem think pad battery that won't accept a charge after 8 cycles. i've read online about a windows 7 issue with batteries but couldn't find if there was any solutions for it. anybody have this happen to ? 9/9/2010 7:03:53 PM |

what's the battery light doing?

Use the thinkpad battery utility and see what it pulls from the cell information. The realtime stuff can probably tell you if it's straight up dead or if the little sensor thingy is having trouble communicating throwing an error. When mine blinks OJ I can open it up and see some kind of error code that it can't communicate with the smart battery; so whatever they're using to fake it is 50/50 shot.
