It's back up... something really weird just happened.

Also, the lag is coming from the map. Something someone has done somewhere is causing the clients to freak out. It's not hardware/network lag from the server.

Ah, I didn't see that he imported blue prints.

Still, I think with our server presence the stadium wouldn't be that hard to build. Its not all that much bigger anyway when you compare to other shit you guys have made.

*I do realize that I'm not exactly present on the server, but I'm trying to find a reliable way . My laptop's graphics card doesn't support Minecraft (ATI), and my gf's does but that's not a reliable way of playing, haha.

I apparently am unable to smelt anything. I put a bunch of ore into a furnace with wood (you know like usual) and left it for nearly an hour and nothing happened. Any ideas?

ANNNDDD there went my night. that tower takes twice as long to build and it's not even that high!! Just started work on my tower above that.

Can someone delete that one half step that's sticking out of my tower? I tried expanding but then realized I don't have access to build within the spawn and then couldn't delete it.

Or could I get build access around spawn? I just want to expand my tower some.

Me too...seems to be the thing I find the most of. Wood is more abundant but I seem to find more coal while mining for iron/gold/diamonds that it's not a hassle.

^^i yanked a little of your cobblestone if it's cool. I've been smelting it into stone for a while. Coal lasts a lot longer than I though. Damn.

The issue I ran into last night was I couldn't expand my tower outwards because it bled into the 40 blocks near the spawn or whatever. Could someone give me build access near the spawn?

There's a way to import custom textures right? I've seen people on reddit/r/minecraft posting pics of paintings and stuff they import. We could make a map and import it into the spawn area or something.

The only problem with putting that much effort into a map is that new things are always being added, or changed. I have a feeling that given another month or so we're going to want to start fresh.

Personally I think the spawn area is a clusterfuck of phallic monuments atm. I'd rather see some sort of coordinated building projects. I'm also looking into a third party server software that may be more stable, and offers the ability to host multiple maps.

At least I think we fixed the lag issues for now. No redstone circuits or minecart tracks people!

The speef arena or whatever could just be Carter Finley. Just hollow out the ground below the football field, add in no-jump/escape walls and you're done. Hell even put in water below the field so losers are flushed out

And yeah, typically I used wood to smelt ore, didn't think to use coal for some reason. Tried both (playing in browser) and neither would work.
