I have this: http://kb.netgear.com/app/products/model/a_id/12150

Rangemax Router WNR3500L

I want to use this: http://kb.netgear.com/app/products/model/a_id/2613 as an ethernet bridge for my Direct TV receiver.

Wireless AP/Ethernet Bridge WNHDE111

According to the manual, this setup should be as simple as pressing the WPS buttons on each however it doesn't work and I am starting to get frustrated.

Any suggestions?

I've tried setting the device's IP address statically but it still won't connect to the router properly.

I thought about just enabling MAC filtering on the router but there are 2 devices in my network that don't seem to work when I do that (another ethernet bridge for my Xbox360 and my moto droid).

Any suggestions would help. I'm kinda just fumbling through this at the moment. Nothing seems to work no matter how I do it.

i have a belkin router and a belkin wireless gaming adapter...basically the same thing i thing. the adapter plugs into my dish receiver, or ps3 if i'm playing it (mine is the 20gb first run). if my network wasn't secure, you can push the magic connect button and it works perfectly. it is, so i have to hook up a laptop to the adapter and enter the password and whatnot on its end (there was some software to download in order to configure it). then it works after 3-4 tries. lol

that probably wasn't helpful. good luck.

what sort of encryption do you have set up on your WAP?

also, MAC filtering is pretty much useless.
