Allright, I've got it narrowed down to an MSI and a Gateway, though if anyone thinks that another brand is better with comparable specs, please let me know.
What I want: intel core i3 or i5, dedicated graphics, numberpad on keyboard, hdmi out, 15-16" screen. The lighter the better.

Gateway: i5, 512mb ATI graphics, 5.7lbs, $715, good reviews
MSI: i3, 1gb nvidia optimus, blu-ray player, 5.3 lbs, $780, ok reviews
