How do you plan on making rent with a liberal arts degree?

I'm ready to rent live in my parents' basement the rest of my life.

there ARE jobs in the arts
where do you think the entertainment you like comes from?
it wasn't engineered, I'll tell you that

hell no I'm not qualified to wait tables

it's much better when you have no right to collectively bargain

that's how certain types of work gets did in TV and film production

and I'm not trying to be efficient

I'm trying to pay off my debt, pay my bills and have health insurance - like every other American

^ yeah he's talking about "efficiency" from one perspective but then there's the real world and the fact that people might deserve to make a living wage and support their families (just maybe... in America)

herpa derpa unions are corrupt and lack the proper oversight

better ditch the right to collectivity bargain altogether and allow corporations the sole privilege of being able to call the shots with respect to labor

I'm in favor of the righ to collectively bargain, but I think unions are a huge drain on the economy. I also think closed shops are patently absurd and un-American.

On a side note, I have a liberal arts degree and I make more than most engineers. Granted, I don't use my degree, but it is possible to make a decent living without a degree in engineering.

I understand your criticism of unions

but I'd ask you to consider the circumstances that caused labor unions to become necessary
also consider the blood that was shed to secure these rights

I think we should be very cautious if we seek to eliminate unions because, if we decide that we need them again, it will be a hard road back
