Mine crapped out on me yesterday...and given it's age I've decided it'd be just a cheap to go buy a new one. I'm going to head to HHGregg, Lowes, and Sears.....anyone have any yays or nays about a certain store?

If you buy a new dryer, do not buy the extended warranty.

If it craps out, it's going to be in the first year, when it is covered anyway.

If it makes it through the first year, the odds are VERY low it will have a serious problem in years 1-5 (or however long the extended warranty lasts).

We just went by Southpoint, and HH Gregg, Sears, Lowe's, et'c were all nearby. Took one afternoon, and we went back to HH Gregg. Of course, we were looking for rock-bottom price on relatively low-end stuff.

I heard the people at HHGregg get paid on commission, so if you want to be able to talk someone down, that could be a good starting place.
