i never use a fork, just a 14" bowie knife.

If I cut everything up before I start eating then I will put my knife down and use the fork in my right. However, if I cut one bite at a time, I just use the fork in my left.

^ That's the "American" way to use a fork and knife. The European way actually makes sense and isn't fucking stupid (never put your knife down, fork in left, eat with left, knife in right, cut with right).

it depends on what I'm cutting- if I need some serious cutting action, i typically put the knife in the right hand for that... sometimes I'll switch over

Right handed, but I hold the fork in the right hand and knife in the left hand. I hold the fork kind of upside down (tines down I guess?) the entire time and the knife remains in my left hand at all times.
