Saw MC Chris open for Pinback here in San Diego (where Pinback is from) in around 2008.

I was right up front, and was actually enjoying MC Chris' performance, but I don't know his music. He called me out in the middle of his set. Something like "It's ok man, try to enjoy yourself" or something. I probably just stood out since I'm taller than most people and caught his eye.

Just because I'm not singing along or dancing doesn't mean I don't enjoy it.

I sound like a ten year old, or so I've been told, but you don't need a voice that's low to make the microphone gold. Emcees claimin that they Midas, but they got laryngitis, so why don't you kick it with the emcee with the voice that's the highest.

I listened to Chris in college, enjoyed a few of his shows, and liked him on Sealab and Aqua Teen. I feel like he fucked up majorly, and it's gotten around, but before all of this came to light folks were still attending his shows, and they still will after posting their comments on reddit and other boards. The guy seems legitimately beaten up about it. I feel bad for him.
