http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/news/2010/09/us-busts-google-apple-intel-over-secret-employee-poaching-pact.ars
We have a god damned blown up economy caused in no small part because of rampant fraud and violations of at least the spirit of the law, crony capitalism up the fuckin' yin yang...and these mother fuckers want to bother actual producers of products and real services with this bullshit?
How about go after the damn money handling leeches that were pressing the accelerator after Greedspan steered us toward the ditch.
God damn. We're fucked. Our generation is fucked. 9/24/2010 9:24:25 PM |

What is wrong with them going after companies that are in collusion to keep wages down? Please tell me you are joking.

Clearly that was part of it if there was no poaching of employees. And seriously, the DoJ doesn't just do one thing at a time. This is more important than the EU bitching about Microsoft packing WMP with Windows. 9/24/2010 9:56:54 PM |

yeah... violating the "spirit of the law" is not a crime if you didn't violate the actual letter of the law 9/24/2010 10:05:46 PM |

your argument doesnt make sense. If this is keeping the DOJ from doing more important things and you can prove it then i support your statement.
Also your argument that they are making money and so should be left alone is exactly how financial institutions were allowed to get away with murder, cause any attempt to regulate them more was met with threats that it will ruin the economy. 9/24/2010 10:06:31 PM |

I can prove the DoJ hasn't done shit to prosecute a god damn single fraud related to the housing market (well, at least not a single high profile one). Nothing. They didn't even sniff around.9/24/2010 10:13:48 PM |
