Christine O'Donnell stated that evolution is a myth but more importantly when challenged her response was asking: Why aren't Monkeys still evolving into Humans?

LOL is anyone in Delaware having buyer's remorse yet?

If I was a monkey and I knew how stupid humans were, then I wouldn't want to evolve into one either.

^^that game can be played indefinitely: because of the rarity with which fossilization occurs, the fossil record will always be incomplete, and the amazing thing is that paleontologists found even that small portion of evolutionary heritage written in stone

Every time you talk about or respond to mambagrl, you are directly lowering the quality of this site. Yes, I realize this post falls into that category. But please, y'all, don't do it.

I assume she (he?) is referring to epigenetics, which studies how environmental stresses can affect and influence gene expression.

(1) what is an "intrinsic cognitive trait"
(2) why is "temperament" the only one which isn't genetic? lol

suddenly schizophrenia doesn't influence someone's temperament. MAMBAGRL.

anyone with a functional brain can understand why evolution is the superior theory. Anyone with a non-functional brain will resort to whatever they were taught first (in the case of the US this mostly means religious dogma).

^^ you tend to give the average person too much benefit of the doubt when it comes to intelligence.

44 percent of Americans think the world is less than 10,000 years old. In before GrumpyGOP tells me why this isn't a problem.

"Which of the following statements comes closest to your views on the origin and development of human beings? (1) Human beings have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life, but God guided this process. (2) Human beings have developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life, but God had no part in this process. (3) God created human beings pretty much in their present form at one time within the last 10,000 years or so."

In 2008, 44% answered 3.
Granted, that doesn't necessarily mean that they think the Earth is less than 10,000 year old but if they have that theology it easily follows.
