well, im at least assuming it has. ive donated, filled out the forms and never got a donor card.

once i did get a letter telling me they didnt use it.
never told me why.

My friend's dad had his blood denied and was also apparently prohibited from donating again because he'd taken some OTC pain reliever before he donated. That seems like bad policy, because he donated all the time and had a rare blood type.

The last few times I've donated blood they stopped letting me give after only a quarter of a pint. It always goes so slow it starts clotting in the tube.

if your hemoglobin count is low, they will not accept your blood.

that's why they give you a finger prick beforehand to test your blood for this.
