While I imagine there is an influx of fans coming to this game who have not been to others, it IS parents weekend. It's likely that many students who normally do not make the effort are getting tickets for themselves and family. It just happens to be the same weekend we have a big game and launch into the spotlight a bit. It's all coming together.

Stubhub, Ebay, etc. all look like $125-150 but I'm guessing gameday scalpers will have student tix for less than that.

Look, guy, I paid my way through college on student loans and a full-time job. I realize it's expensive and difficult to go to school. However, if you really want to go to a game you'll find a way. I ponied up the cash to go to the Ohio State game when Rivers was here, I paid to go to games at UNC and Wake Forest as well. I even paid to get a ticket to a home game when we played FSU.

This shit happens every time State starts doing well. When I was there and Philip was leading us to our 9-0 start, it became increasingly harder to get tickets as that season progressed (until the 0-3 stretch). This was back in the stand in line days and you could tell who was a true fan and who was just waiting in line because they saw some other people waiting in line too.

I think students should pay $25 or something minor per year for season tickets or ticket rights. This weeds out the non-caring folks even if the team is doing well. I believe UF has or had a system like that and my buddies that went there never had to worry about not getting tickets. Seats were assigned randomly each game.

Tww action news reporting from the VT ticket line--

Line has at least 400 people waiting.. Stretches from the ticket counters at Reynolds around the side, down past talley and down the stairs (I think, can't see that far back)

NCSU PD is here making sure the front of the line doesn't get too rowdy.. They're also keeping people away from the line to prevent ID swapping and such

I'll be here for a while, more updates on the way
