I'm sure some of you know the answer to this. I'll buy you a snickers and a coke for this information. 9/30/2010 2:00:32 PM |

I've never found a local source in Raleigh or Charlotte for anything li-ion or li-poly and newer, I think mainly because it's a relatively niche market and having a lot of potential customer dumbasses fail to understand they need specialized chargers for individual or package cells. That and the much-publicized fear of these catching fire, compared to NIMHs or NICDs. batteryspace.com and all-battery.com were some of the main ones I used, never had any issues with anything they ever sent me. Ebay can be VERY easy to find some cheapo china-brand shitty ones if it's not a high quality or high-reliability application. 9/30/2010 9:45:16 PM |

Did you check the regulars? Batteries plus, etc?
And I agree with Chief - you can't just jury rig a LiIon pack and avoid burning your house down. Your best bet would probably be rewiring some off the shelf stuff or ordering direct from hong kong. 10/1/2010 1:49:39 AM |

Yep, know all about the hazards of Li-ion charging...and the need to monitor individual cell voltage while charging.
None of the regulars carry them. I needed to find something by this weekend, which is why I didn't hit any of the online sites. 10/1/2010 10:30:59 AM |
