Every time I plan on grilling out, I go to the grocery store to pick up supplies (of course). Without fail, I always stop in the produce section first and buy one sweet onion, three bell peppers (red, yellow, green), one jalepeno pepper, and a lemon.

Nevermind the meat.... but I always chop up my peppers, season and oil them, and then put them into a tin foil "bag"... then squeeze the lemon over it. I cook that on the grill as well.



It's awesome, and I am convinced that somehow this will be the death of me.

i do enjoy a good hot pepper, but the smell of bell peppers gives me a headache. i can tolerate them in a salad or on pizza, but i don't seek them out.

Which reminds me of the time I ate a Habanero pepper before school in HS. I was in pain for the rest of the day. For the next two hours I was crying. I was literally running out of the middle of class to drink water (yes, I know it makes it worse, but I needed temporary relief). Then for the next 2 hours after that I was peeing every 5 minutes due to the massive quantity of water that I had.

The next day, my eyes were tearing up again as the remnants of the pepper and its accompanying juices working their way out of my asshole. For the next 2 days, it hurt to poop. And I don't mean it was difficult to poop. No, but rather I was scared to poop.

I like a very light sprinkle of freshly ground black/pink pepper on my food, or just about 5-7 drops of Tabasco sauce on a plate of food (2-4 drops if it is the Habanero one).

Any more than that and I can't tolerate it/hate it.

It is amazing to me that some people will drench their food with hot sauce... I wish I could tolerate more spiciness/heat but can't, which is strange because I come from somewhere where people are genetically hardwired to eat a ton of raw and cooked very hot chillies in food or even by themselves.
