^I have a big review on Yelp that basically says the same thing. Silvio is oldschool, and he does pizza right--you ain't getting heaps of grease like you would next door, and it isn't full of hipsters like even farther down the street. Plus, he's just a really cool guy. I know his assistants too, they'll come out and eat with me and my friend when we usually swing by.

It's the only place I consistently eat at in Raleigh. His margarita pizza is some of the best I've ever had. And now he's doing Choripan--you can get a slice of cheese pizza (his slices are big), a Choripan (which is a chorizo sausage sandwich if people didn't realize) and a bottle of soda or beer for $5.50.

Yeah the place is still there, and the guy who owns it always gave me a larger than normal slice whenever i went in there. Ill take it any day of the week over Amore or I love NT pizza!

Silvio has had some issues with money because most of the college students go to I <3 NY Pizza and never hear or go to Sylvia's. Apparently like the entire English department eats there though, so I guess he can't be doing awful.

It's hilarious if you order a whole pizza or pasta dishes. If he knows you at all, like if you've been to his store even a couple times, he'll sometime say shit like "well, it's 8 dollars... for you" because he drops it like a dollar randomly. Me and my friend have been talking to him regularly for like two years, and he usually gives us discounted lunch haha.

If his thin, traditional semolina pizza isn't what you like (then you're a...), at least try his pasta, it's great stuff, all hand-made.
