it belongs to my roommate but it expired a week ago. i just ate one of them and i would feel bad if it went to waste. they've been staying at the girlfriend's for about a week and a half now and i'm pretty sure they would just throw it away.

should i eat it?

i have said this on tww many times over the past couple of years:

yogurt doesn't go bad for weeks beyond the "expiration date". even months.

i regularly eat yogurt that's 2-3 weeks out of date, and a few times even 5-7 weeks, and they have always been OK.

when yogurt/dairy goes bad, it smells terrible, and anybody can tell.

if he complains, promptly return the yogurt to him. If you have trouble producing it, take a laxative.
