There was a chapter of Skull and Bones* on campus!

Special thanks to ArcBoyeee for finding this!

* - The super elite secret society that started at Yale and has had such high-profile members as: George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, and John Kerry. Seeing as how this particular chapter was featured in the Agromeck, it was probably not as prominent as the one at Yale.

It only shows up in one Agromeck. No photos. That's it.

huh. it's weird a secret society would broadcast the names of their members in the school yearbook. Maybe someone bought a one page ad and put the names in there to out them as part of some sort of plot or scheme.

wikipedia disagrees with agromeck

someone who knows what's up should set it straight

That chapter, the Beta of Skull & Bones, became independent in 1872 in a dispute over control over creating additional chapters; the Beta Chapter reconstituted itself as Theta Nu Epsilon.[9][10]"

I'm pretty sure they weren't trying to hide the membership. George C. Cox has it listed under his entry as a Senior earlier in the book. The others probably do too but I happen to have his link handy from other research.

p 144. one of the company sponsors was "killed" by censorship - wonder what it was a picture of?

p 246. "we admit that this book is all" [picture of a dog] "but we hope you like it"

i like the pictures at the beginning, looks like state college used to be all green

lol at p263
