Application Name: acad.exe
Application Version: 23.2.662.0
Application Timestamp: 49187e26
Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll

can post some xml files too:
A:\TEMP\WER97E8.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
A:\TEMP\WERAE56.tmp.appcompat.txt
A:\TEMP\WERB51A.tmp.WERDataCollectionFailure.txt

every 5-10 minutes without a hitch. I've tried reinstall/repairing/updating... still get this crap.

W7 x64 Pro
ACAD C3D 2009 (installed in x86 program files directory)
Dell XPS M1530 (4 GB RAM, 230 GB HDD (on 50/180 partitions), Intel DuoCore T9300 @ 2.50 GHz, GeForce 8600M GT w/ 256 MB of memory dedicated and 2 GB available)

File size/version/etc. doesn't seem to matter.

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you try sfc /scannow from a command prompt with admin privileges? That should scan for the ntdll.dll and replace it if it's hosed. However if ACAD has some special modifications to it you'll need to reinstall after running.

1) I almost guarantee the problem here is with some other software you have installed (do you use any resident memory apps like anti-malware, antivirus, etc?).

2) If you have Windows 7 x64, you should be using Autocad x64. Last I checked, they didn't support x86 on x64 systems or vice versa. Try uninstalling the x86 version and installing the x64 version.

^^
not lately; I never think about that; I'll go ahead and do it.

^
1) MSE
2) It's from NCSU and I asked for x64; I don't remember what they said, but in the end they wouldn't give me an x64 version.

the scan found some errors. I've looked at the log, but I'm not that much of a computer whiz... and it's really long...

^^Then that's likely your problem.

Go here: http://students.autodesk.com/?nd=register&und=624

Enter your student information and download the x64 version.

^^haha, not sure, didn't get a chance to run it today. I'll try tomorrow
^is that the student/education version that plasters plots with "student edition" or whatever? it appears so... and that won't fly, unfortunately.

^Are you not using an education version now?

If you're using a licensed, commercial copy, you can always call/go online to autodesk and either reorder or download a x64 copy.

^it's whatever NCSU distributes. Pretty sure it's just a regular, licensed copy; not a student/education version.

I've tried going through Autodesk before but was told I have to go through NCSU. When I go through NCSU all I get is x86 editions. How would you suggest going through autodesk to get another copy? I vaguely remember searching the site to download it (never found it) so I called and that's when they said to go through the school
