Do you happen to know how the voucher works if your flight is less than $400? Do you still have a credit for whatever is leftover?

Normally this would be a stupid question, but I always sort of expect airlines to screw around with this sort of thing.

^^If you book for less than the amount, they issue you a new voucher for the difference.

^from the way the voucher is written, it appears that it's valid to be used for purchase by that date. I'll call delta and find out if you are interested. "Delta dollars are good for one year from the date of issuance"

I've gotten a few of these and it is awesome

they keep an account with voucher numbers for the balance

you can use them as funding sources for any flight you book with Delta as long as you book it through the Delta website
