I'm from Savannah. My favorite restaurant has a giant hole in the middle of the table for you to throw your scraps away.

Also, damnit I missed one in Greensboro a few weeks ago.

Is that the same thing as a crab boil?

i've never had authentic low country boil, but there's a place in atlanta that serves it. its run by a vietnamese family, but according to the black folk raving about how good it is it every time i go in there its the real deal.

^ 1. Put seafood and vegetables in pot.
2. Add Old Bay and boil.
3. ...
4. PROFIT.

That's pretty much it.
I add the shrimp at the very end once the veggies are cooked.
Through a couple of artichokes in there as well!

Yes. At least the one I've always had has sausage. Think it depends on region.

It's been forever since I had crawdads. Also, I came across this while searching how to cook them.

decided to try it out tonight...

used 2lbs fresh shrimp, 3 ears corn, red potatoes, one pack johnsonville chorizo brats, smoked bacon, couple lemons, old bay and crab boil seasonings, little butter and a whole lotta soooooulllll

And it was everything I could have hoped it to be. Holy shit, awesome, will cook again. The two of us hardly put a dent in it so we'll be enjoying it for a couple days. I owe you, ThatGoodLock, for introducing me to it
