Clearly you're disillusioned...there's NOTHING cool about IKEA.

You trend whore.

I've still never been in an IKEA. Never even looked on their website. Although that might changed today.....

Ikea has some nice stuff and some really crappy stuff. Same goes for their prices. Some are decent for what you get and some are a rip off for what you get/quality.

I guess it also depends on your design style. We really only have two rooms that their stuff will work well in our house and I have my eye on a few pieces for that. But outside of that I was kind of disappointed in their selection.

Seconded...although I'm still a good 6-8 months from having a place that's worth any furniture that didn't get bought out of someone's front yard.

You know IKEA has been pretty big in the states for well over a decade, right?

I recently bought a big ass armoire and put it
Together with the included hardware and some
Extra wood glue for superior toughness, only to realize the very first piece was upside down I just left it and re drilled the holes that were wrong as a result

The dressed I owned from IKEA fell like a stack of dominos the first time we moved.

I find some things at Ikea that I really like. I also find some things there that I don't like at all. Most reasonable people would agree that it isn't all bad or all good.
