They called me, woke me up (I worked until like 5 this morning), and then put ME on hold for the last 25 minutes. Call me back when you're ready to speak .

I've never been on hold more than a few minutes with Well Fargo/Wachovia. I was just shopping around for the lowest rate, but we're up to 38 minutes and this is getting retarded.

Suntrust changed over all debit cards from Visa to Mastercard. I was talking to a teller a couple weeks ago, and said that I was going to hold off on activating the new card, because it was going to be a huge pain in the ass to change over all the billing info the Visa was tied to.

She said not to worry since Suntrust had hired some outside company to handle switching over all billing info (including for Time Warner customers, which I told her was my main reason for not immediately activating the card). Hearing that, I went ahead and activated the new card.

Jump to yesterday. I have to take most of my lunch break fixing everything with Time Warner since my auto-bill pay was canceled (they tried to charge the Visa, which is no longer an active card). I realize the idea of what the teller said seems like complete bullshit in hindsight, but I believed it anyhow.

I look forward to switching to USAA in a few months when active duty starts up.

They have 90 seconds to break the 45 minute mark. Then I'm hanging up.

We would you even want to pay interest?

Is the thing you're buying THAT important that you can't wait until you have the money in your hands before you buy it?

I went to the bank the other week and apparently it was customer appreciation day. So I'm piling up a plate with donut holes, cookies, an apple, and sandwich wraps when what do I see? Only one turkey wrap left. I had to eat that one turkey wrap and like three vegetarian wraps. Get more turkey wraps losers!!!! And do you know what happened next? I got thirsty and they didn't have free drinks so I had to buy one from the machine. That's $1.30 down the drain.

I went to a bank in China to exchange some US money to RMB.

I walked into the bank and ALL of the tellers like stood up to great me. I almost walked out because I was overcome with embarrassment. Like they all were standing up to leave because an American walked in. They had me sit down, and they insisted that I did so (I'm used to standing at our banks). They brought me some water. I felt very out of place. You don't get that type of treatment in the US. I made them like 7 RMB off the entire transaction, yet they treated me like royalty.

American banks. GET WITH THE PROGRAM!
