When I was a freshman or soph in high school I got some demo CD that had Linkin Park's first single on it, but their album hadn't come out yet.

I was counting down the days to hear what the rest of their songs sounded like (since I didn't have anything like itunes to preview the songs).

^^^^ You're joking right? Lateralus might be their best album. It fully displays how far ahead of everyone else Tool is talent-wise in songwriting ability

Really? I started listening with Undertow and have all the other early material as well and Lateralus is in a dead heat with Aenima for my favorite Tool record. They're just different enough that it is hard to decide between them but Lateralus is a milestone record for modern prog rock. Now 10,000 days, yes I was disappointed with that.
