Has anybody seen this miniseries? I had never even heard of it until I happened to see it on the channel guide (it comes on IFC... Independent Film Channel). It's standard zombie apocalypse type deal but very well made. Violence and stuff are top notch. I've only watched the first episode (of five) but I'm hooked.

It is kind of based around a zombie apocalypse occurring outside of a reality show (Big Brother). The stars of the show are locked in the house so they don't know what's going on in the outside world. The studio and production crew are overrun with zombies as is (as far as I can tell) the entire world. A few members of the crew have survived the initial outbreak and are trying to wait it out.

The zombies in question are the fast type. They are actually undead, unlike the 28 Days Later type that are just infected. I'd encourage any zombie survival nuts like myself out there to check this show out if you can.

I watched it when it came out last year. I didn't know it had been brought over to the US audience. It's pretty good. It really helps a lot if you watch Big Brother UK as there are many in-jokes and guest stars from the show and they filmed the show in the actual BB house during the off season. I'm sure most of those will go over the US audience's head, but it's still good enough on it's own right to be worth a watch for fans of the genre.

Interestingly enough my coworker, who is a big British movie buff had this stashed on a NAS at work that he was using for a backup. When he set me up on the NAS, I got access to it and watched it. Holy shit, pretty good stuff. The Big Brother set was an interesting twist too, as I watched about a season and a half for I tuned out of that shit. So I probably missed some of the jokes, but I was in it more for the zombies than a reality show.

Haha yeah when I made the thread I was thinking that if someone else made it without including zombies in the title I would probably have overlooked it. There are a total of 5 episodes. The first one is 45 mins and the rest are 30 mins.

She's tired of the zombie stuff, she's tired!! In the past 2-3 months I've had to watch all of Romero's zombie movies, pretty much ever other zombie movie including Army of Darkness and 28 Days Later, dead set, the Dead Red Redemption zombie add-on, and I had to play the Jakob's Cove add-on for Borderlands...

I miss it when vampires were the "it" monster.

It was alright. The way they ended it was a surprise for me, which was a plus. But the loud and crass boss man was just annoying as fuck...actually most of the characters on the show were worthless fucks.

Dead Snow was actually really good if you don't take it seriously.
