7cm 100%. Took forever to get epidural right. More pressure low now. Hoping for sooner rather than later. My 30th bday is tomorrow

She is alert
When you talk to her she looks towards you and she'll follow your face once she finds you. One of the things I hoped for was a really interactive baby and I'm pretty sure we got one.

I'm so happy to have her and I'm proud of se7entythree. She's stronger than I am.

Do yall think she looks Asian? I think she looks more like Megan's family aside from the really dark hair.

Fumbler, I totally thought she looked asian. Asians have the strongest dominant genes, right?

She looks a little Asian to me. Enough to make you think she must have Asian genes, but not enough to be 100% certain.

Either way, she really is gorgeous, and her eyes are so beautiful.

Most half Asian babies look mostly Asian. I think if you're used to seeing Asians or half Asians then it gets real easy to spot someone that isn't pure Asian. There's this funny thing in almost all families where the white side of the family can only see the Asian features while the Asian side will think the baby looks mostly white.

I do have a couple of cousins with a couple of half white kids that look all white until you look closer. There were a lot of faces when those babies were born hehe.

I'm half Japanese and half Austrian...I'm told I look more Hispanic than Asian. I definetly looked more Asian as a baby/child until puberty hit and my black hair became more dark brownish.

This is me as a toddler.

I hope that works since I'm posting from my phone. We can see a lot of my side (esp my Dad's) of the family in her face. Her head is less stretched looking now. She's doing very well. Finally in our room with us. We think we're being discharged tomorrow.

Just got the stroller and car seat ordered online yesterday. It's Bitrax. Spent quite a while to figure out how to use them.

thanks!!! we've had a trying few days here, but we're doing okay. parker's jaundice is on its way out & she's been a little less difficult since it peaked (idk that those 2 have anything to do with each other). we went to the ER sunday bc she wouldn't wake up to feed. we couldn't agitate her into crying or anything. it was scary. she last ate at 2something that morning, then didn't wake enough to eat again until 930ish. she checked out fine & is still doing well. i was gonna post a pic but i guess i should move to the tww babies thread.

There's a Groupon for a 3D/4D ultrasound place in Chapel Hill.

http://www.groupon.com/deals/my-womb-with-a-view?c=all&p=22

I am thinking about getting the $49.00 one.

And they have Sunday hours. Wooo!

Pregnant women are so easy to get angry and emotional. Yesterday she blamed me just because I dropped some dishes which were still a bit left there.

Buy Buy Baby is good for trying stuff out but their prices are ridiculous. We've been going there to try out things like baby slings and strollers, then buying them online.

i think they've got better coupons though...and they'll take bed bath & beyond coupons. AND they'll take em even if they're expired. i love their policy for that.

but i agree they are pricier.

she hasn't gone to the doctor yet, but from her calculations....she thinks around 7-8 weeks.

i made her pee on a stick 3 days ago because she was complaining of nausea, back pain, and sensitive boobs

29 weeks tomorrow

Went and had my 4D ultrasound this morning. Awesome to see our baby for 40 minutes. He sure loves his arms/hands and keeping them in his face but we still got some awesome pics (after a few pieces of chocolate eaten). The ultrasound tech said the baby is "scrunched up" in the womb because I'm petite and she doesn't think I'll make my due date of 11/12.

Hopefully at my doctor's appointment on Tuesday, my doctor can tell me how much my baby weighs. I'll be getting my TDAP shot/pertussis vaccine. I hate shots.

Hope everyone's pregnancy is going well. I'm 26 weeks and boy has it been a journey.
We just painted the nursery pink - yes baby girl!

Not sure if this is the right thread, but does anyone know where to buy wall sticker mural/decals? I think it will be easier than actually painting.

We want to go with a fairy tale/princess/castle theme. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

i see them all the time at various baby gear stores, but i would look on etsy. lots of sellers with a wide range of vinyl decals.

I got mine through overstock.com

You can go through etsy but I found that Overstock had pretty much the same decals for cheaper

She probably won't start letting herself be happy about it until you're well into the 2nd trimester. I know for me I was just terrified the whole 1st trimester and wouldn't "let" myself be happy if that makes sense. Even now I still have days where I make myself sick with worry but they've become less and less as I enter the 3rd trimester. Now I've started to realize, "Shit, we don't have much time left," and I've barely done anything at all for prepping the room we'll be using as a nursery and stuff. Before I couldn't even think about things like decorating a nursery because I knew if I miscarried again I would never be able to walk into that room again. I'm sure she's going through similar thoughts.
