well its pretty rare that I ever had the super/subscript buttons showing on my Word, so its news to me

Before I would do Alt + H + F + N + B + Enter for subscript

I myself was an engineering student and did not know this shortcut. I got really good at insert+object+microsoft equation editor+click fucking buttons

Why not type:

Ctrl+ and Ctrl=

(maybe it's just me)

I learned these while typing out Webassign problems out of textbooks

Not often used, but they were damn handy when dealing with stupid Chemistry equations.

I'm pretty sure I made my own shortcuts back in the day for this, but damned if I remember what they were. Probably something near the left cntl key so I could reach it with one hand.
