Not really though.
In order to "celebrate and showcase" the new renovations to the Atrium, they're holding a contest to get into VIP seats for the night before the opening. Apparently if you buy a 20oz. Coca-cola from a C-store you get a chance to win a GOLDEN TICKET OH MAN.
http://www.ncsudining.com/dining/event.html?id=39
Also, for anyone who cares, here is the official "venues and menus" for the new Atrium.
Delirious: A delightful play on the word “deli,” Delirious will offer diners the ability to add their own toppings, then have the attendant add the greens and dressing of choice for a custom tossed salad. Diners can also chose from a selection of wraps, plus a wrap-of-the-day. Selections will include grilled chicken Caesar, turkey club wrap, ham & cheese wrap, vegetarian spinach wrap, vegetarian wheat wrap, BBQ chicken wrap, and BLT wrap.
Zen Blossom: Fresh-rolled sushi (California roll, Hawaiian roll and tekka maki roll), Asian salads, vegetable egg rolls, rice, fried rice, noodles, and a rotating menu of appetizing wok creations, including beef & broccoli, sesame chicken, sweet & sour chicken, dragonfire beef, zesty pork, General Tso chicken, sweet chili shrimp, and vegetable lo mein.
Brickyard Pizza and Pasta: A wide selection of personal pizzas, breadsticks, and garlic toast, plus a rotating menu of tasty pasta dishes. Pizzas include: pepperoni, cheese, meat lovers’, veggie, and supreme. Rotating pasta dishes include chicken Alfredo, baked ziti, cheese ziti, chicken with mushroom ravioli and vodka cream sauce, tortellini with sausage and smoked gouda sauce, and chicken cacciatore. Breadsticks and garlic toast will also be offered.
Wolfpack-to-Go: Look for a wide variety of pre-packaged fresh items: sandwiches, salads, pitas, wraps, parfaits and other items for when you are on the go but still want something great. These items are made with minimal condiments so they can be dressed according to the diner’s taste.
Chick-fil-A: The new Chick-fil-A will be twice the size of its old location and will now add the spicy chicken sandwich to its lineup. (They also noted they have two fry-lines, haha).

^They "remodeled" it because it was designed so awfully for foot traffic the first time I guess. I remember freshman year it being a real nightmare, but I've avoided it for years anyway so dunno. 11/19/2010 6:28:49 PM |

I'm kind of pissed they did away with Little Dinos. You can get a fucking salad, wrap, or a shitty pre-made sandwich, but no subs.
Not that I eat there anymore so I don't know why I care, but still.
They should have just made the whole thing a giant Chick-Fil-A and I'm pretty sure no one would have complained. 11/19/2010 6:34:48 PM |

Its nice to know some of my tuition $$ was used to pay for this, at lunch time the atrium is packed like a motherfucker!
Not too big on seafood, but the other places sound good...they should have also brought in like a Greek/Mediterranean place or some mini Mexican place to give a different option to the semi-okay taco bell options they have on campus.
The new renovations look REALLY nice though! 11/19/2010 7:38:02 PM |

there's enough shit on campus that you used and didn't help to pay for to make up for it. 11/19/2010 9:36:33 PM |

^I mean it was there before they remodeled. Basically that wrap/salad place in the new building should have Toppers-like dishes I think. 11/20/2010 3:37:31 PM |

It's the same stuff, it will always be the same stuff, but they are obligated to change the names and color scheme every few years to maintain their contract
MU did this same thing. Spent like half a million remodeling a hole-in-the-wall food spot just to reopen with the exact same stuff and a new floor. WTF> 11/20/2010 3:46:47 PM |
