oh hell no. i haven't always liked it and i still don't really LOVE the specialty rolls that much. i don't even know if that is the right term... i am a bigger fan of sashimi. fish and wasabi mmm. and the Nigiri stuff. i've had a few rolls...or whatever the ones with all the shit inside them are, that i've thought were decent but mostly i think i'd rather have sashimi or nigiri pieces

but i can see why people would think it was gross. the first million times i ate it i had no idea what i was doing and would just eat whatever everyone else got. and like i said, the specialty rolls with all the salad-y mixtures in them aren't my absolute fav. so i get it. but i love the simpler ones. mmm. i just like the fish. i can live with out the cream cheese crab salad stuff. but i do <3 avocado.

I eat the philly rolls and that's about it. I'm not paying $texas for some veggie roll, eel is ~ at best, and the place I frequent does not get the yellow fin regularly (it's a mom & pop place.)



This thanksgiving I have a few days at the house alone and I think I'm going to try rolling some philly rolls if I can find a local place with the seaweed paper stuff.

I've never been to Japan either (well, I had a layover, but I didn't go to a train station). It was in a Chinese train station in Shanghai. And they don't have health standards.
