I know this may be a long shot, but I'm sure some of you live in N. Raleigh and you never know.

The black dog in this picture represents Ron Cherry giving the beagle mix (NC State) the business, with his front left paw

That ain't Bongo. Maybe a distant cousin 50x removed.

I hope you are able to find the home this dog belongs to though.

I would have, but I don't think he knows his way home. There's a fair amount of traffic in the area i live in. and he's definitely not an outside dog.

I let him walk around off-leash and he was completely lost and he kept walking up and down the same streets, where I know he doesn't belong. So I put him on a leash and walked around my side of the neighborhood (which is pretty large), he went right up the driveway to a house and to the door, so I thought that might be it. But they said they'd never seen him before. Talked to everyone I came across and knocked on a few doors that had fences and nobody knew him.

i went to the animal hospital to see if he had a chip - no go. I drove around the rest of my neighborhood asking everyone I came by - nobody recognized him. Then I left him out front for a while in case someone was driving around looking for him. Just brought him in for the night and gave him some food and water around the time i posted this.

I'll try again in the morning, maybe post some flyers. I've also emailed the home owner's association with pictures and am hoping they'll send an email to the contact list.

the owner and i sort of found each other at the same time. Found her listing on trianglelostpets.com. Picked up my phone to call her and saw that I had a new email. It was a response to the craigslist ad from her. He (Wrigley) is back with his owner.

i don't take in stray animals

if they have a collar and approach me, i'll contact the owner

she was good looking, but married I think (had a ring on).

She lived about 2 miles away (by car).

That's what I was wondering.

I swear my parents' place is a magnet for lost dogs. We've reconnected around 6 dogs to their owners since they've been living there

well it's not like the dog had to follow roads

if it's 2 miles by car, then it's less "as the crow flies"
