Doesn't work on firefox I guess
but at this guy:
Quote : | "After his freshman year at Mizzou, he was stricken with blood clots. Thankfully the condition was diagnosed properly, though it left him two options: quit football or have surgery to remove a rib that was blocking blood flow to an area in his chest. Because of his love for the game of football and his teammates, Andrew chose surgery. During recovery, Andrew lost over 30 pounds and faced many moments that made him question whether he would ever be able to play football again. " |
And why isn't Nate on this list?
This guy seems like a shoe-in for the award though
Quote : | "Jeff Wardach has spent the last four years on the Virginia Tech Scout team. Day in and day out Jeff has played on the team and has never faulted. This year, his senior year, Jeff actually got to suit out for three games and also saw some play time in two games. " |

you'd think he would be considering how often the media talks about that car crash during games. nate would win too easily since he's first team AA and all. 12/1/2010 12:04:34 PM |

I am surprised Marvin Austin isnt on that list. Especially after the horrible treatment he's received from the NCAA. But at least UNC's got this winner:
Quote : | "Matt Merletti North Carolina Nominated by Butch Davis Junior GPA: 2.7
Nicknamed “Captain America” by his teammates, North Carolina safety Matt Merletti has made the most of his opportunity this season after missing all of 2009 with an ACL injury.
Not only was Merletti unable to play last year, but he was also unable to lead the team out of the tunnel with the American flag that his brother, who is in the military, gave him in 2008. The flag was significant because it was flown by Merletti’s brother on several missions in Iraq. Throughout the 2009 season, Merletti would choose one teammate to run out of the tunnel with the flag, and made it his personal goal to carry the flag at Carolina’s bowl game. He did.
Due to some players losing their eligibility, Merletti stepped into a starting role as a defensive back. In UNC’s first win of the season, a 17-13 win at Rutgers, Merletti picked off a pass in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. He also runs the American flag out for each game, honoring America’s military and his brother’s service. " |
