^The overwhelming consensus of TheWolfWeb has historically been that Preiss is the worst company to ever lurk in the dark corners of corporeal existence. As a current Preiss resident, I will confirm this.

They suck but they are cheap and all college apartment leasing companies suck pretty much so they don't have a lot of qualities that much worse than other comparable places. I rented for two years without any major problems from them but certainly didn't ever plan to rent from someone like that once I was out of school with a job etc.

When I was in school in Boone there was a company like that. There was a guy who used to walk around their parking lots on Fri and Saturday nights with a gun on his hip. He wasn't a cop or even security; he was just in the management company. He was walking around trying to bust parties and call the cops when he smelled kids smoking pot. He wore the gun because he knew this made him very unpopular. Jagass.
It was an issue, because when you get a bunch of young, drunk, empowered college kids together, they can get belligerent. It was like he was asking someone to let him shoot them -not a great pr move, but those turds weren't into pr.

This apartment won't be like that at all.

^^so what that he was carrying? it's perfectly legal, and probably a smart thing to do with a bunch of idiots around him. he wasn't asking for anything, he was being prepared for the worst.
