Just won a 7 day tip there. I'm not really the tourist type, anything local or under the radar I should check out?

You know as well as I do that the best thing to do is meander through sketchy areas around town and see where the locals are eating/drinking/hanging out. Yeah, it's a tourist town, but the people that live there gotta hang out somewhere.

And for God's sake don't ask any of the locals where the locals hang out. They'll refer you to someplace that will give them a cut for sending them a customer, as likely as not. You've wandered to and fro before, just do what comes natural.

I envy you, you Hawaiian bastard.

If I had any money I would probably consider it. As it is, NC State continues to have my money, and the good folks at the loan office will have it for a while after that. The only way I'm going anywhere is peace corps or foreign service, and neither of them is sending me to the west coast of this particular country.

A 7 day tip sounds expensive. I hope that's on the 15% scale and not the 20%.
