While we're on the subject of partisan pronunciation issues, Barack Obama is in the habit of pronouncing it di-vis-ive, like dismissive, instead of di-vI-sive with a long I. I prefer the former as well, in much the same way as divisible or division.

Also, the emphasis is on the last syllable of partisan.

So the correct phrase is:
di-'viss-ive par-ti-'san 'iss-yoo

I am, and remain, strongly in favor of condoms and positions that aren't missionary. Also women outside the kitchen (fucking in the kitchen can be awkward as hell, besides, I want them dual incomes), and comprehensive sex ed. I don't want to be a grandfather at 45 thank you very much.

I am OK with gay marriage, abortion, and public officials who don't swear a religious oath. I'm not gonna start campaigning for them but whatever.

But I will be dead in the cold, cold ground before I feel anything but a strong desire to ban smc .

Realistically this is only true when you're talking about paramilitary bands operating against occupying forces. For example, in 1944 there were french and Polish partisANS.
