At work, our wired domain is locked down and can't get to a lot of sites. But our wireless domain as free access to all sites.
Is it possible to set up a wireless card on my PC and set only Mozilla/Firefox traffic to only use that NIC? And set all other traffic like outlook and internet explorer and other work programs to use the wired NIC? 12/10/2010 2:31:43 PM |

Sound idea, but I don't think there's a mechanism for routing the programs through certain connections on your computer. 12/10/2010 2:49:55 PM |

you could just install the wireless card and disable the wired.

as long as his computer doesn't have to be on the network with a set IP (or whatever), anyway12/10/2010 3:03:49 PM |

You can bind certain programs to interfaces. Do a search for firefox interface binding, and I think you'll find some options.
Also search for forcebindIP. This is a program that can bind programs to certain interfaces.

set your wireless NIC as the default gateway and then create static routes sending internal traffic to the wired NIC 12/10/2010 6:16:19 PM |
