eh i guess i could do that

i haven't gotten around to double enchanting anything but a set of armor yet

probably would be beneficial to do a ring or something

i guess i thought you were just making jewelry just to make it. or sell it.

i kinda haven't seen the point of selling things in quite some time. or making jewelry if you're already maxed on smithing.

i kinda wish i had something to spend this gold on, and i'm only at like level 43.

i'm not even sure why i bother looting jewelry or gold anymore from chests and shit either really.

Well, I too have a shit ton of gems which I wish the game did a better job of keeping track of where I lay them..I wanted to have a giant pile somewhere but every time I came back it was all spread out.

^^^ Now that kind of gives me an interesting idea for something to do with the 400k+ in gold I'm carrying around.

There needs to be a mod of an empty swimming pool where I can dump all of my gold and swim in it like Scrooge McDuck.

i just did the "find the butcher" quest in windhelm. kinda cool with all the investigating and such. i did look at uesp a couple times, but that ended up preventing a couple of serious bugs anyway.

i remember starting that quest one night while wasted, and when i resumed the next day i was like "why does this chick keep repeating something about a slashing cut"

it was kinda bs though, there were a few parts where I didn't really have a choice but to get a bounty, then pay it off in order to continue the quest line.

calixto's shop was always closed so i had to break in to sell him the amulet, then he got all pissed off and attacked. Later, i showed up in the stone quarter in the middle of the day, and [the butcher] was there attacking some lady. then i hit "shout" by accident and lit like 10 people on fire

yeah i fucked that one up and didn't sell him the amulet

now i've finished it, the amulet doesn't get converted, and i can't drop it from inventory.

so that's awesome.

The strange amulet turning into the Necromancer's Amulet is cool because it's a "legendary item" and all but it's of absolutely zero worth to me. I put it on the nightstand in one of my houses.

What's the end of the Dark Brotherhood questline?

I keep getting quests from

SPOILER ALERT

The Night Mother in the new location, and I did the contracts for the other guy that's there, but they just keep giving me the dumb repetitive "meet the contact and kill this guy" quests over and over. I don't feel like just buying decorations and crap to set up a new headquarters is really much of a resolution to that story. Do these Night Mother quests ever end?

I wonder why they havn't at least announced the dates for the DLC... seems to me that waiting this long has made the game loose a little to much steam and hype.

Fallout 3 had its first DLC ~ 3 months after release... its been 3 months without much press or information at all

By "randomly generated" he means I kill the same stupid fucking woodsman in Morthal over and over again. Radiant story is a crock of shit.

i think it's funny that you can pickpocket the briarheart from a forsworn briarheart

it's also funny that he can posthumously send hired thugs after you for stealing his heart

For some reason on my badass assassin with custom made muffle boots and 100 sneak and every perk in the sneak tree Forsaken can smell him from a mile away. They always detect me. I can sneak up on fucking dragons but not low level Forsaken.

^^ Oh you silly WoW player.
And don't you get a Muffle Perk in the Sneak tree? If so, that enchant would be a waste (unless you meant extra Sneak).

Maybe you're right, the Silence perk appears to give you 100% Muffle. However, it sill doesn't make sense that I'm getting detected. weird.

I'm telling you there's code to make them super detectors or something. Or there's a bug with having too much sneak. I'm 100% sure I'm not clipping any of their hanging bones and traps and they fucking just wake up from sleeping when I get near, crouching and walking. (though walking and running shouldn't make a difference).

maybe invisibility would help? i mean if moving is truly silent (it should be, with 100 sneak and muffled boots) then if they can't see you they won't detect you, right?

i'm going to try this tonight

man...I love the Wabbajack.

I'm sticking to level 1 until...I don't know...I get bored. (my sons accidentally "leveled up" me and I went from lvl 1 to lvl 32).

and Wabbajack is absolutely essential for me to kill some of the major dungeon bosses on some of the more complex quests.

Sometimes it is a bit of a pain. Let's say you turn some baddie into a rabbit. You can't hit the rabbit because it takes off. If it gets too far away, it'll transfigure back to its baddie state, with no damage done, in the same location is usually starts. Frustrating.

i feel like i've run into a wall with leveling. i reached 30 a few days ago and it's slowed wayyyyyy down since then

i guess i need to start smithing and enchanting to keep the pace up or something

or quit sneaking everywhere and just go berzerk on everybody

Or you could not worry about leveling once you get your character where you like him.

For me, playing the game is fun, grinding out levels is tedious. The most fun I had was when I ignored all crafting.

It is a role-playing game, after all. Not as good as Morrowind, has some compromises, but a role-playing game nonetheless.

the only really annoying grind for me was the alchemy...having to wade through lists of potions to find ones worthwhile instead of shitty 17g worthless ones sucked

i'll probably grind my way to 81 eventually. every once and a while, I get the completionist bug. did in GTA4, then Fallout 3, so it's about time for another. i figure the most annoying part will be completing all the extra thieves guild side jobs to fill the trophy case in the cistern

only trophies left are the war ones (just joined imperials) and then the main quest - at level 67 now.
