I keep seeing invicta watches on daily deal sites and am in the market for a crappy <$100 watch. I've already got a couple decent watches so i'm not too worried about it, but i need something for around the house and yardwork type days and would like it to last more than a year or two. from what i can tell online it looks like they just make knockoff watches and inflate list prices so you think you are getting a deal, but is the quality worth $80?

I have one from Woot from over two years ago & it doesn't suck.

The quality is well worth $80.
Honestly though, just get a Seiko.
Invicta is the "white van speaker scam" of the watch industry.
They sell decent $80 watches and claim a $600 MSRP just to trick people into thinking they're getting a good deal. A comparably priced Seiko will be the better quality and longer lasting device.

They're not junk watches or anything.
They're just trying to pretend they're something they're not.

people still wear watches? I usually just use my cell phone or ask ppl what time it is. Beats waking up in the morning and adding another piece of item to forgot. Although, I did streamline by velcro-taping my crappy sprint phone to the back of my ipod touch for a poor man's iphone. lol
