I saw it yesterday at the Seattle Center.

Awesome. probably one of the best versions in existence.

There are tons more, and i know that you are trolling me, but i figured those two are the best and ones that everyone knows.

Other honorable mentions, What child is this aka greensleeves. (LOL Go google greensleaves and look at the first result) I'm pretty down with O Little Child of Bethlehem, We Three Kings of Orient Are. Basically the songs with strong minor structures are the ones better. Get that happy christmas BS out of here

^I've been looking up people playing these songs on organs for a while and i found a pretty bad ass O Holy Night somewhere thats super jazzy and a way jazzier silent night somewhere but i can't find it

The fall on your knees part of that song is so majestic

I think he does a great job in a pretty stripped down version.

I also like Once in David's Royal City. Not as much as some other ones and it's fairly straight forward but for some reason I've always enjoyed that.

Note placement of the bass pedals on either pipe or hammond organs makes all the difference in the world.


Couldn't find any particularly good pipe organ renditions, one guy has a good one but he decides to emphasize the alto note on one of the verses and its pretty distracting

I have sung O Holy Night so many Christmas Eve services in my life I'm about tired of it. But every year I end up singing it again. And ever year people come up to me after the service telling me they were in tears and covered in goosebumps.
