Seem a bit excessive for something that costs about $5.

Don't steal shit if you don't want to get arrested.

$2000 bail is only like 200 bucks.

I don't see how you can make that claim unless you know all the details of her criminal history.

$2000 isnt' that excessive. the 15% fee with a bondsman means $300 gets you out of jail.

i've seen guys stuck in jail on a $500 bond, and they were pissed off b/c their bond was set so low: had it been set at $1000, a bondsman would get them out for $150... but at the lowest bond of $500 the $75 fee wasn't worth any bondsman's time to get them out.

and the difference for them between paying $150 cash to a bondsman vs. posting $500 cash to the court was enough that they had to sit in jail for a few weeks waiting for trial.

yeah, i would say that anyone with an address of 500 New Bern, is probably a risk of no-show for the court date.

I kind of feel bad for Nakura. I mean, shit, all she wanted to do was bake a desert for her family Christmas dinner. Now she's in jail. What else was she going to do with a bottle of Vanilla extract?
