^^ depends on how much experience you have.

I've seen positions posted with salaries ranging from like 60k - 150k depending on how many years of experience you have. Some of those positions have freakin' lifetime travel restrictions that come along with them too

I've met some guys that were prison guards going over and getting security jobs for around $500-1000 per day based on location and what they were "guarding". Tax free supposedly too.


If I were single, had no kids, and did not have a good job, I'd actually consider it.

I'd like to say "the market rate", but I'm inclined to agree with you in a lot of cases. There are people fighting over those jobs, from what it looks like to me, although I've also seen a few higher-end positions, like a radio frequency engineer (needed a master's in EE) who worked for me in Qatar, where it's tough to fill the position.

I didn't when I was a contractor over there and I still don't. In fact, it was a damn good decision to do so, I set myself up pretty good financially and professionally.
