I can't wait until they privatize liquor sales in NC.

Liquor availability 24-7-365 for the win.

They'll probably still pass some BS law about when they can be sold ala no beer after 2 AM only stricter.

I know bars can't sell alcohol after 2am, but can you buy it at a 24-hour grocery store? And if grocery stores cease sales at 2am, what time in the morning can you start buying it again?

It's been a really long time since I've been up late enough to know/care. NC laws are soooo weird.

on a semi-related note, i went to buy beer at harris teeter one sunday around noon, not really aware of the exact time, and had to get out of line, wait 5-8 minutes, then get back in line. like 50 people asked me if i needed help and i was like, nope just waiting to get my drink on.

cool story

^ true story. I've had the same thing happen.

^^^some will... gas stations too

you meant to say no store will legally sell you beer after 2am

I bought beer routinely b/w 2-3 oclock for after parties when I lived off of Appalachian Dr over in trailwood hills

as for when you can start buying, I want to say it is after 5 or 6am? I've bought it pretty early before tailgates. Dunno for sure (usually don't need more beer that early )

2a-7a no sales (legally). 7am is the magic morning time (12pm Sunday). you've probably noticed a bum or 2 waiting around suspiciously at 6:45 when you head in to get coffee.

Also, anyone else ever had an early lunch on a Sunday and ordered drink after food?

One time when I was 18, I had my fake ID, case of Bud and I walked up to cashier. He said I had to put it back. I was like shit he caught me. Turns out it was after 2

I assume since it was open 5 years ago, it's still open today right?

edit: I don't want to drive 2 minutes down the road just to see them closed
